Winona's Pelipper was the second Pokemon Winona used during her gym battle with Ash Ketchum. Pelipper was very strong and was able to use its Steel Wing to deflect electric type moves into the ground. Using this strategy it endured Pikachu's electric attacks but when it launched a Hydro Pump the power of the attack forced it to rise off the ground slightly, allowing Pikachu to knock it out with Thunderbolt. However Pelipper's Hydro Pump proved to be too much for Pikachu and both of the Pokemon fainted at the same time.
