Water Shuriken (Japanese: みずしゅりけん, Hepburn: Water Shuriken) is a Water-type move introduced in Generation VI. It was the signature move of Greninja in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y.
Effect
In battle
Due to having a positive priority, Water Shuriken will always go before moves that are not of this priority type. Water Shuriken does damage, hitting the target two to five times in a turn, with each hit having an equal chance to be a critical hit.
In a Double Battle, Water Shuriken can target any Pokémon around the user. In a Triple Battle, Water Shuriken can only target a Pokémon that's adjacent to the user.
Description

In Super Smash Bros.
Water Shuriken is Greninja's Neutral Special in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U and Ultimate. It charges up a shuriken made of water and throws it forwards. It can be charged, but covers a lot less area the bigger it is. Though for whatever reason during the Charizard/Greninja Reveal Trailer, almost everyone that saw the trailer thought Water Shuriken was Shadow Ball. This led to them believing that Mewtwo was returning.
