Relationship to Haunter

It looks like a regular Poke Ball. However, looking at the eyes, it looks very similar to Haunter's eyes. It is speculated that a Voltorb is a possessed pokeball by a Haunter. Once the Pokeballs were possessed, the Haunters can't esccape, constantly exploding because it's angry that it can't escape.
