Volt Absorb as an ability which is only used by Electric-type Pokémon. This ability was introduced in Generation III.

In Battle Effect

Volt Absorb will heal one quarter of the user's max HP when hit with an Electric type move, instead of gaining damage. It will also be healed by non-damaging attacks, like Thunder Wave.
