Template:GymLeaderBox Viola is the Santalune City Gym Leader and an user of Bug-type Pokémon. She is also a professional Pokémon photographer and the younger sister of Alexa.

Appearance

Viola wears a white blouse, green pants with white cuffs, brown boots with green laces and a green bracelet. She has blonde hair.

Viola appeared with her sister, Alexa, near X's house, wanting to interview Y. Y however refused and both Viola and Alexa witnessed the rampage of Xerneas and Yveltal.

Anime

Ash met Viola in Santalune City where he challenged her to Gym Battle. She used her Surskit and Vivillon against him. Even though she won the first round, she lost to him in the rematch thus giving Ash the Bug Badge. She also appeared in Breaking Titles at the Chateau! where she battled Grant but lost to him in the battle with her Surskit against his Onix.

Trivia

Her name appears to be an anagram of "Voila!", which is usually said after completing an impressive task.
- In her case, it would pertain to her photography.
According to the Gym Freaks TV show, the camera that she always has with her was a birthday gift from her sister Alexa.
Unlike the first gym in earlier games, Pokemon up to Level 30 obey you rather than 20.
