Venipede (Japanese: フシデ Fushide) is a Bug/Poison-type Pokémon based on a centipede, introduced in Generation V.

Appearance

Venipede is a dark purple and green Pokémon with about a third (the head) of it being purple and the rest being a dark green color but it also has black markings on its neck, shoulders and antennae. It has a hump on the upper body and it's lower body has segments. Venipede has four pairs of black legs and two tails.

Evolution

Venipede evolves into Whirlipede at level 22, and then into Scolipede at level 30.

Trivia

  • While it's similar to Weedle and Wurmple in nature, it doesn't evolve as fast as either of them, evolving at level 22 rather than level 7.
  • Its name comes from the words venom, meaning poison, and centipede, meaning 100-legged insect.
