Veilstone City Gym is the official Pokémon Gym of Veilstone City. The trainers here, including Maylene the Gym Leader, use Fighting-type Pokémon. In Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, the player has to move sliding walls in order to advance. In Pokémon Platinum, the player had to move punching bags to move weights out of the way. This is the third Gym to be challenged in Diamond and Pearl and the fourth to be challenged in Platinum.
