The Kanto region, a region of greenery and peace, but two years prior it was different.
Team Rocket, the villainous group in Johto, used to be based here with their leader, Giovanni, the Gym Leader. Giovanni planned on taking the plans for the Master Ball so he could create his own Master Ball’s to capture rare Pokémon. One grunt in particular came back to Kanto to create a new faction of Team Rocket, but he gave up the idea eventually.
Celadon City, home to Gym Leader Erika and her Gym. The Game Corner in the city is owned by Team Rocket and has their warehouse underneath it. Since then, the Game Corner is still open under new ownership of Mr. Game, the owner of Goldenrod City’s Game Corner.
Cinnabar Island, an island of events. It used to house the Pokémon Mansion, which was run by Team Rocket for experimentation, which also led to the creation of Mewtwo. Since then, an eruption has happened, costing the Pokémon Mansion and the Cinnabar Gym buildings. The Cinnabar Gym has since been relocated in the Seafoam Islands.
Overall, this part of the game brings back memories to people who have played Pokémon Red, Green, Yellow, Gold, Silver & Crystal.
Here are the Pos and Neg’s:
- The function to be able to rebottle the Gym Leader’s of Kanto
- The availability of obtaining starters from Kanto and Hoenn
- The availability of capturing the Legendary Bird’s compared to Pokémon Gold, Silver & Crystal
- There should have been more involvement of Team Rocket in Kanto, similar to how the Sevii Island had Team Rocket, who didn’t know it disbanded
- The should have the Sevii Islands
