Choose Your Hero

Introducing the main characters you may choose between to experience your adventure in the Hoenn region! They are Pokémon Trainers setting out on a journey with their Pokémon to train and grow.

You may choose between male and female main characters. The other character will be a great help to you at several points during your adventure. The Hoenn region generally enjoys a warm climate, and both characters are decked out in light, sporty wear that is perfect for dashing about in its rich, natural landscape!

Notice the characters wearing a Mega Bracelet set with a Key Stone, that mysterious stone needed to achieve a Pokémon’s Mega Evolution!

Steven

You’ll meet many different people and different Pokémon during your adventure. One particular character, Steven, will be closely involved with you while you explore Hoenn. This mysterious young man with the elegant bearing has a great interest in collecting rare stones. He is in pursuit of the true story behind the mysteries that lie at the heart of the stories in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire: the origins of Mega Evolution and the Legendary Pokémon.

Team Magma and Team Aqua

You’ll encounter two organizations in Hoenn that are in a struggle for control: Team Magma and Team Aqua. Each of them has a boss who leads the group. Serving the boss are two Admins, male and female, and below the admins are the many grunts who carry out the day-to-day labors of the team on the ground.

In Pokémon Omega Ruby, Team Magma will seize more power to achieve its goals. Team Aqua plays the more prominent role in Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. In both versions, you will find yourself drawn into the conflict!

The Acro Bike

With the Acro Bike, you’ll be able to hop your way over narrow bridges and up stepping stones that lead across different elevations.

The Mach Bike

Simply use the Mach Bike to gain speed and roll right up steep slopes.
