Hello Pokémon Wiki. Ready for Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire? Well, I know I am.
The topic of this blog is no other than the Pokémon in the anime. Jeez. Those pages really need maintenance. The user that most edits them is not, how to say it without offending, just looking for the opportunity to edit. I don't know if I'm the only one who is bothered by this. I'll give an example of what she does. Have you seen the page Berrybaker kids' Makuhita? Go look at it and then come back. What did you notice? Yes, the page is practically blank.
The Berrybaker kids' Makuhita is a fighting-type Pokémon owned by the Berrybaker kids.
That's the only sentence on that page, and it doesn't tell me anything. One question: what is the position of this Makuhita in the episode it appeared? The answer is simple: it helped the Berrybaker kids do win in the contest they were in. The problem is that everything was focused on Serena and Miette.
Pages and pages of irrelevant Pokémon fill this Wiki. One word to describe: useless. It makes the Wiki look sloppy.
Another thing: the Pokémon that are relevant or semi-relevant, have you looked the part where it says Biography? Look at for example Giovanni's Golem.
Giovanni used Golem in his battle with Gary. It was beaten by Gary's Nidoking.
Woa. What relevant information. We don't need that, pages like that are useless.
"OMG! It has been rumored that Ash will catch a Goomy! Let's create the page with no content even if it's not true!". Really. Wait until the episode in which happens appears, that way we'll know if it's true or not. Remember Ash's Skiddo, Serena's Pancham, Serena's Espurr, Serena's Jigglypuff and Jessie's Skrelp. Those pages were just rumurs of about one year ago. Really? Who said that the Jigglypuff of the anime would come back and Serena would catch it? And worst of all, who believed in that? Yeah, yeah, I know, Serena DID catch a Pancham. But, when did we know she would? Less than a month ago.
I think I'm getting really into this, so I'll leave it now, but honestly, I think this is the part of the Wiki that constrasts the most. If you're that user, please, open your eyes. I'm not attacking you, just please, you can do a MUCH better job. Take your time adding the information to the pages so they are cool. A mention or just an irrelevant apparition doesn't need page. The only ones that should have page are the relevant ones, not the irrelevant. And be patient, just because you can't add the page right now doesn't mean you won't never work with that page.
Please, for the Wiki's own good, STOP IT RIGHT NOW!
