The Unova Link is a feature in Pokémon Black and White Versions 2. It has three links that allow players to link together and obtain various features.
Key Link
Key Link allows players to connect between Pokémon Black and White Versions 2 and obtain keys that unlock various features, such as changing the difficulty level. These keys can be sent to other players, regardless of how far they have progressed in the game. Upon loading a saved file, the player will be notified if a feature is turned on.

Assist/Easy Mode allows players to change the difficulty settings to easy. When this mode is turned on, the opponent's Pokémon levels and AI will decrease. Assist/Easy Mode can be unlocked in Pokémon White Version 2 after defeating the Champion, Iris.
Challenge Mode
Challenge Mode allows players to change the difficulty settings to hard. When Challenge Mode is turned on, the opponent's Pokémon levels and AI will increase. Additionally, Gym Leader and the Elite Four will have an additional Pokémon added into their team, as well as moves changing and the Pokémon's holding item. Challenge Mode can be unlocked in Pokémon Black Version 2 after defeating the Champion, Iris.
Memory Link
Memory Link allows players to collect data from Pokémon Black and White and insert it to Pokémon Black and White Versions 2. This allows Pokémon Black and White Versions 2 to obtain information from the predecessors, such as past events. Memory Link may be done via local wireless or Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.
