U-turn is a Bug-type move introduced in Generation IV. It allows user to rush back to switch places with a party Pokémon in waiting after attacking. This will always let you switch even if trapping moves like Mean Look are used.
In Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, the U-turn TM is given once the player character beats Bugsy, the gym leader in Azalea Town.
