Tyson is one of Ash's friends who lives in Mauville City. He won the Hoenn Tournament as first place by defeating Ash.

Biography

Season 8: Advanced Battle

He first appeared in Like a Meowth to a Flame, where he saved Ash, May, Max and Brock from a flock of Murkrow who attacked them. Later, he was seen carrying the Moltres flame for the Hoenn Grand Festival and battled Team Rocket for it.

In Saved by the Beldum, he signed up for the Hoenn League and participated in battles until Choose It or Lose It!, where he began his 6-on-6 battle with Ash. Though the battle was hard, Tyson's Meowth emerged victorious against Ash's Pikachu and won the Hoenn League. Lastly, in At the End of the Fray, he was seen waving goodbye to Ash, May, Max and Brock.
