Tri Attack is a Normal-type move introduced in Generation I. Back then the user shoots out a Triangle, but from Generation II onward the user shoots ice, flames, and electricity at the opponent to deal damage, and it has a 30 percent chance of paralyzing, freezing, or burning the opponent. It is thought to be a signature move of the Doduo family, although Magneton is capable of learning it at level 44. In Generation I it was the original TM49 before it changed to Fury Cutter. Eight Pokémon learn Tri Attack by levelling and two Pokémon learn it by breeding.
