The Trainer Counter is a Pokétch app that counts how many of the same Pokémon you have encountered with the Poké Radar. If it hits 20 or 40 you will have a good chance of finding a Shiny Pokémon. When it hits 40 it will then be a 1 out of 200 of finding a shiny instead of a 1 out of 8192.
