Torrent (げきりゅう Raging Rapids) is an ability introduced in Generation III. Torrent is exclusive to Water-type Starter Pokémon, with the exception of Panpour and Simipour in the Dream World.

Effects

In Battle

Torrent raises the Pokémon's Water-type attacks, making them do 150% damage. However, this only happens when the Pokémon's HP are at 30% or less of its maximum HP.

Outside Battle

You may surf, and fly to the nearest pokemon centre, where Nurse Joy will award you 40 Master balls and a rainbow Magikarp
