Torchic

Torchic is the Fire Pokémon starter of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire and Pokémon Emerald, which mean that every player has a choice of this Pokémon or two other (either the Water Pokémon Mudkip or the Grass Pokémon Treecko). It evolves into Combusken and then into Blaziken. According to the Pokédex, it is a "Chick Pokémon" has a height of 1' 04" weighs 5.5lbs, and "A fire burns inside, so if fells very warm to hug. It launches fireballs of 1,800 degrees F." It looks like anorange and yellow colored chick (thus the name Torchic) It is an all fire type, but will become a fire-fighting type in the next two evolutionary stages. Just like all the other starter pokemon, you cannot capture it in the wild, you can only get it in the beginning of the game, or by breeding with a Ditto (which has no gender so it doesn't really matter) and hatching the egg.
