This Ariados is a bug/poison-type Pokémon owned by Tōkichi.
Biography[]
Misty encountered an Ariados and yelled out, due to her fear of bugs. Aya appeared and her Venonat tracked Ariados, but she failed the test, since Venonat got stuck in its Spider Web. When Team Rocket took away the Pokémon, Tōkichi sent Ariados, who binded him on a kite using String Shot, then navigated the path. Tōkichi cut the net, but Team Rocket cut the string, causing him to fall down. Since Ariados was exhausted, Tōkichi entrusted Aya to fight Team Rocket, who delayed the until Ash came with Pikachu to blast them off.
