Just like in Pokemon Ranger, the player gets a single partner Pokémon in the game Pokemon Ranger: Guardian Signs, and that Pokémon is the rare Ukulele Pichu.
It is first encountered on Dolce Island where it is leading a group of other Pokémon with its music. It hides in the bushes when the Pokémon Pinchers show up to "pinch" all of the Pokémon on Dolce Island. After it witnesses the capture of all its friends and spots the player, it challenges them to a battle.
