Festival of Battle - Kanto, Part III

Welcome, welcome, to the first annual fight of the Pokémon Wiki, the Festival of Battle! I'm Rainbow Shifter and I will be your host of the Festival this week! The Festival, as you have read, features the battles of Pokémon in a specific region. Each weekend you can taste some of the battles these Pokémon will have, so give a big support for ones you like!

It is almost time for Halloween and to kick off the upcoming celebration we have two spooky and strange Pokémon battling it out. Who will be triumphant in this Psychic and Ghost face off?

Now, let's hear for the commentators!

  • Slaying:Lilligant will likely be eliminated quickly, since Charizard-X and possibly Hydreigon can hit it with super-effective attacks, and Lilligant's lack of non-Grass moves will ensure it does little damage to the others. Dusknoir is quite sturdy, but has trouble dealing damage and will fall to repeated Dark Pulses or Crunches. That leaves just Hydreigon and Charizard-X standing. As they are both Dragon types, they can both hit each other quite hard. Charizard-X's slightly higher Speed and its Tough Claws ability will give it an edge against Hydreigon, leading to a narrow victory.
  • Sabrina:So, it is the final battle and I remind everyone to read the comments first before voting. You can always choose to hare someone's advice.

In the first battle, we have Mega Charizard X, Hydreigon & Lilligant and Dusknoir. Charizard knows many fire attacks, from a simple Ember to the mighty Flare Blitz, which will burn each and every opponent. This can eliminate Lilligant already, who is a Grass-type. Hydreigon will be a much different opponent, who uses Dragon attacks, which can hurt Charizard effectively, though I remind that Charizard is a Mega-Evolved Pokémon, which means it is quite tough and can survive some Dragon attacks. Dusknoir is a Ghost-type, so it will have a tough battle with Hydreigon, but might confuse it with Confuse Ray and hit it with attacks like Payback, which inflict double damage, considering Dusknoir is slower than Hydreigon. It might not have a long battle with Charizard, though.

All things considered, I give my support to Charizard, though this is a fine, intense battle that cannot be ended easily.

Vote for your favourite!
