Giovanni's Persian is one of Giovanni's Pokemon. It was always seen with its master and Giovanni actually seemed to care about Persian and was often seen petting it. In return Persian was very loyal to Giovanni and went with him wherever he went. Persian has never been seen in battle, instead being treated as a pet. Team Rocket's Meowth hates Persian because it was Giovanni's favorite Pokemon. It was stated by Meowth that he used to be the top cat, but was replaced by that "stuck up good for nothing" Persian.

Persian had appeared in the Best Wishes series. It was shown to be very powerful against Ash's Pikachu taking it out by using Shadow Claw and Power Gem.
