In Pokémon Sapphire, they are primary antagonists, in which their goal is to raise sea level for many Water Pokémon to swim in. These grunts are the easiest to defeat. In Pokémon Emerald, they share the antagonistic role of Team Magma Grunts. They mostly use Water-type Pokémon, but they also occasionally use Dark and Poison Pokémon as well. This is the only kind of female Grunt to show their midriff in the games.
