Aqua Grunts

Team Aqua Grunts are the lowest ranked members of Team Aqua, whose goal is to expand the sea. They work under Matt, Shelly, and their leader, Archie. In Pokémon Ruby, they assist the player to prevent Team Magma from draining the water for expansion of the land mass. In Pokémon Sapphire, they are primary antagonists, in which their goal is to raise sea level for many Water Pokémon to swim in. These grunts are the easiest to defeat. In Pokémon Emerald, they share the antagonistic role of Team Magma Grunts. They mostly use Water-type Pokémon, but they also occasionally use Dark and Poison Pokémon as well. This is the only kind of female Grunt to show their midriff in the games.
