Swirlix (ペロッパフ Peroppafu) is the Fairy-type Cotton Candy Pokémon. It was first introduced in Generation VI.
Biology
Physiology
Swirlix is a Cotton Candy Pokémon, thus its appearance; a small pink candy Pokémon. It resembles cotton candy on a stick.
Behavior
Swirlix only eats sweets, thus Swirlix looks and feels like candy floss. When it is in battle it will sometimes extrudes white sticky and sweet threads to entangle their opponents.
Evolution
Swirlix can be evolved into a Slurpuff by trading it while holding Whipped Dream.

Etymology
Swirlix's typing of fairy most likely comes from the idea of "fairy floss" which is what cotton candy is called in Australia.
