Swadloon (Japanese: クルマユ Kurumayu) is a Bug/Grass-type Pokémon introduced in Generation V.
Biology
Physiology
Swadloon is a mainly round Pokémon that resembles a pupating caterpillar wrapped in leaves. Its body is yellow, and it is wrapped in a cloak of green leaves. On the top of its head is a "V" shaped green leaf-like appendage. Its frowning expression gives it a gloomy, sorrowful, shy look.
Evolution
Swadloon is the evolved form of Sewaddle as of level 20. Swadloon then evolves into Leavanny with enough friendship.

Trivia
While it seems to be similar to Metapod, Kakuna, Cascoon, or Silcoon in nature, it doesn't evolve from its previous form as fast, nor does it evolve into its final form in the same method.
Origin
Swadloon is likely based on a caterpillar inside a chrysalis, but it could also be based off of a hikikomori, which is a shut-in in Japanese culture.
Etymology
Swadloon's English name is derived from the words "swaddle" and "cocoon".
