Trivia
- Stoutland is one of a few Pokémon in Black and White that, rather than having a synthesized sound serving as its cry, it has a more realistic cry, sounding similar to a barking dog.
Origin
Stoutland is likely based on a Yorkshire Terrier, as well as a Saint Bernard.
Etymology
Stoutland's name probably originated from the words "stout" (since it is built for rugged environments) and "land" (since Yorkshire Terriers are Scottish, hence Scotland).
