Starter Pokémon

Starter Pokemon, or Starters are the first Pokemon that a trainer gets to keep. In each generation of Pokémon games, a set of starter Pokémon are available for new trainers to choose from, usually in sets of three; the types that make up these sets are Fire, Grass, and Water. Pokémon Yellow is the sole exception to date, with Pikachu as the only starter.

• All Starter Pokemon are the same types: Grass , Fire, and Water.

• Someone started a rumor that the Diamond and Pearl version Starters would be the types: Fighting, Psychic, and Dark. This was not true, because Dark is immune to Psychic.
