Stance Change is a special ability that was introduced in Generation VI. It is Aegislash's signature ability.
Effect
In battle
The Pokémon changes form depending on how it battles. Using an Attacking move switches the Pokémon to Blade Forme. Using a Status move switches the Pokémon to Shield Forme.
Outside of battle
Stance Change has no effect outside of battle.
