This Shiftry is a grass/dark-type Pokémon owned by Palace Maven Spenser.

Biography

Shiftry was sent to battle Ash's Sceptile. Sceptile started off with Bullet Seed, but Shiftry moved quickly into the jungle to mold with its surroundings. Sceptile used Leaf Blade, clashing with Shiftry's Quick Attack. Shiftry then used Double Team to confuse Ash and Sceptile, and damage the latter with Shadow Ball. Sceptile was pushed into the water, but it did evade Shiftry's Rock Smash. Sceptile jumped off a waterfall to strike Shiftry, defeating it with a Leaf Blade.^[1]
