Spenser's Shiftry was the first Pokemon Spencer used during his battle with Ash. Shiftry was shown to be capable of adapting very well to its surroundings, often using the terrain to its advantage. Although it was very fast and quite strong, Shiftry was eventually defeated by Ash's Sceptile.
