Sludge Bomb is a Poison type move introduced in Generation II. The user hurls toxic sludge at the opponent Pokémon, which inflicts damage and may badly poison.

When it was introduced in Generation II being TM 36, mainly with Ekans and Arbok. It has a power of 90, a PP of 10, and an accuracy of 100. It is TM 36 and many Pokémon can learn this attack from the TM.

It is a damage inflicting move but also has a 30% chance of poisoning the target.

Outside of Battle

It has no other effect outside of battle.

Trivia

• Sludge Bomb is more powerful than Sludge, but it sadly has less PP.
• Only 8 Pokémon can now learn it by leveling up; Grimer, Muk, Koffing, Weezing, Gulpin, Swalot, Croagunk, and Toxicroak.
• Pokémon with the ability Serene Grace benefit from this move.
