Games Description

RSE Scatters a powder that may cause the foe to sleep.
FRLG A sleep-inducing dust is scattered in high volume around a foe.
DPPtHGSS The user scatters a big cloud of sleep-inducing dust around the foe.

Sleep Powder can target any Pokémon adjacent to the user. Sleep Powder causes the target to fall asleep. Sleep Powder will have no effect on Pokémon with Insomnia, Sap Sipper or Vital Spirit. As of Generation VI, Sleep Powder also has no effect on grass-type Pokémon or Pokémon with Overcoat.
