Sinister Woods is the fourth dungeon in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team. Later floors in the dungeon may be shrouded in darkness. There is no chance of finding a monster house, a shop, or a buried item in this dungeon.

Plot

The first initial mission requires the rescue of a Metapod, culminating in a boss fight against Team Meanies.

Caterpie's friend Metapod becomes lost in the woods while they are playing. Caterpie comes to you for help, but shortly after explaining his problem, Gengar's team, Team Meanies, shows up and challenges you to a race to save Metapod. You reach Metapod just before Team Meanies but they push ahead and you are forced to fight them. After you defeat them, Metapod comes out of hiding and you take him back to Caterpie.
