Simple (Japanese: たんじゅん Simple) is an ability introduced in Generation IV. Whenever a stat-boosting or stat-dropping move is used on the Pokémon, its effect is doubled. For example, if a Bidoof uses Defense Curl, it will gain two defense boosts as opposed to one. Three Pokémon have this ability naturally, all of them in the Ground Egg Group.
