Silent Chasm (ちんもくの たに, Silent Valley) is the fifth dungeon in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team & Blue Rescue Team. It consists of nine floors, and is mostly inhabited by Bug and Poison Pokémon.
The initial mission in Silent Chasm is to make it to B9F and rescue Shiftry and its rescue team, who has disappeared while on its own rescue mission. To be able to enroll in this mission, the player must have already defeated Team Meanies at Sinister Woods.
