Sewaddle (Japanese: クルミル Kurumiru) is a Bug/Grass-type Pokémon introduced in Generation V.
Biology
Physiology
Sewaddle is a small larval Pokémon that resembles a caterpillar or silk worm. Its body is covered in a green leafy coat, and it has a hood-like leaf encircling the back of its head. It has a round yellow head with two lumps on top. It has small black eyes and an orange mouth with two sharp teeth visibly protruding from its upper jaw. It has a white neck and six tiny orange stubby feet.
Evolution
Sewaddle evolves into Swadloon at level 20, and then to a Leavanny after a high enough friendship.

Trivia
- Sewaddle's image was leaked Yahoo's official Pokémon site on August 5, 2010. It was officially revealed on September issue of Coro Coro on August 8, 2010.
- It is like the bugs from every other generation. Caterpie and Weedle, Spinarak and Ledyba, Wurmple, and Burmy and Scatterbug.
- It is the fourth Bug/Grass-type Pokémon, the others being Paras, Parasect, and Wormadam.
- While Sewaddle seems to have an evolution chain similar to Caterpie, Weedle, or Wurmple, it evolves at level 20, rather than at level 7, breaking the rule of which Bug- types evolve quickly.
- Sewaddle's Pokédex entries are conflicting ones. One states that Leavanny makes its clothes while the other states it makes clothes for itself.
Origin
Sewaddle appears to have similarities of a caterpillar, yet it is specifically based on a silk worm.
Etymology
Sewaddle's English name seems to be a combination of the words "sew" (as it is based on a silk worm) and "waddle".
