|Secondary Effect:||User faints|
Self-Destruct, formerly known as Selfdestruct prior to Generation VI, is a -type move introduced in Generation I. Pokémon that can learn this booming move are Geodude, Graveler, Golem, Voltorb, Electrode, Koffing, Weezing, Pineco, Forretress, Baltoy, Claydol, and Mew.
It has a more powerful version called Explosion.
As the name states, the user explodes, causing he/she to faint. This attack can cause massive amounts of damage to every other Pokémon on the field.
Only-type Pokémon are immune to the move.
Super Smash Bros. seriesEdit
In the Super Smash Bros. series Pokémon appear in battles as items in the form of Poké Balls. In S.S.B.B. (Brawl) Electrode will use self-destruct. Electrode's body will have start becoming red indicating it's about to blow, however it can only be picked up when it's about to explode meaning it is hard to throw it. Sometimes it will even short-circuit, making steam come from it, after this it will start again and explode much faster.
