In the Super Smash Bros. series pokemon appear in battles as items in the form of pokeballs. In S.S.B.B. (Brawl) Eelectrode will use self destruct. Electrode's body will have start becoming red indicating it's about to blow, however it can only be picked up when it's about to explode meaning it is hard to throw it. Sometimes it wil even short-circuit, making steam come from it, after this it wil start again and explode much faster.

Self-Destruct, formerly known as Selfdestruct prior to Generation VI, is a Normal-type move introduced in Generation I. Pokémon that can learn this booming move are Geodude, Graveler, Golem, Voltorb, Electrode, Koffing, Weezing, Pineco, Forretress, Baltoy, Claydol, and Mew.

It has a more powerful version called Explosion.

In battleEdit

As the name states, the user explodes, causing he/she to faint. This attack can cause massive amounts of damage to every other Pokémon on the field.

Only Ghost-type Pokémon are immune to the move.

If player receives the Winner's Path for the Pokewalker in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, he can find a Munchlax that knows Selfdestruct.

Other gamesEdit

Super Smash Bros. seriesEdit

In the Super Smash Bros. series Pokémon appear in battles as items in the form of Poké Balls. In S.S.B.B. (Brawl) Electrode will use self-destruct. Electrode's body will have start becoming red indicating it's about to blow, however it can only be picked up when it's about to explode meaning it is hard to throw it. Sometimes it will even short-circuit, making steam come from it, after this it will start again and explode much faster.
