Secret Base

A secret Base in Gen. III

A Secret Base is a hideout where you can rest and resupply. Secret Bases first appeared in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. You can only have one secret base at a time. Your laptop or PC allows you to furnish it to make it more appealing.

It makes its first appearance in the anime in the episode "A Three Team Scheme!".

Generation III[]

In Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, secret bases can be created out of trees with vines hanging down, out of indents in certain walls and oval shaped bushes, but at first, you will not be able to make a base. After talking to a Trainer on Route 111 near a tree capable of being turned into a base, he will give the player Secret Power, enabling you to create secret bases.

Generation IV[]

In Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, secret bases can be created in the underground after receiving a Digger Drill from the Old man in Eterna City. Then you can trade spheres for more Digger Drills in the Sinnoh Underground.

Generation VI[]

Secret bases make a return in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, now called Super Secret Bases. Everything from the previous Pokémon game secret bases return. You are able to share your secret bases using Street Pass or QR Codes. You can also make people your, "Secret Pals" if you visit another persons base. You can battle, share decorations, Pokémon Eggs, and even level up Pokémon together. Capture the flag also returns.
