Scald (Japanese: ねっとう Boiling Water) is a Water-type move introduced in Generation V.

Effect

It does damage to opponent with power of 80. In addition to it, it can also burn them unless that Pokémon is a Fire-type.

Trivia

• Scald is the only damaging water move that can be learnt by a fire type as it can be learnt by Emboar.
• It is the only Water-type move that can cause burn.
