Ruby and Sapphire Chapter

She battles against Sapphire and loses, though she forgets to tell her that if she collects all badges she can battle in the Hoenn Pokémon League.

Afterwards, when all the Hoenn Gym Leaders had a meeting, they talked about which Team is good, Team Magma or Team Aqua. Though in the end, both Teams were causing mayhem in the entire region.

Pokémon Information
Geodude was first seen in the Episode 290: Gonna Rule The School! when it was used to blast away Team Rocket with a single Rollout attack. It was then used in the official gym battle with Ash and easily defeated Treecko with relative ease but ended up losing to Pikachu. Besides Rollout its known moves are Rock Throw and Mega Punch.

Pokémon Information
Nosepass is the strongest and main Pokémon of Roxanne. It was used to battle against Pikachu. It attacked Pikachu quickly with a Rock Tomb and, surprisingly for a Rock-Type Pokémon, used a powerful Zap Cannon and Thunder Wave. It also used Sandstorm to hide itself from Pikachu and used its nose to attack Pikachu. It was soon defeated by Pikachu's Iron Tail, though.

Trivia

  • Roxanne's name is a play on the word Rock, since she is a Rock-Type trainer. Brock and Roark may also share this pun. (Brock: take away the B, leaving rock, and Roark: take away the 'a' and the second 'r' and you get Rok, which can be translated to "rock".)
  • Roxanne is the only female Gym Leader that specializes in Rock-type Pokémon.
  • Her attire from Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire is almost completely the same from the Generation III games and Pokémon Black 2 & White 2 sprite except that she wears it black instead of blue.
