The Team Rocket Hideout is the secret headquarters for Team Rocket. It is located in Celadon City and is hidden underneath the Game Corner. The secret entrance to the Hideout is accessed from a hidden switch behind a poster in the Game Corner.
History
In Generation I, the Team Rocket Hideout makes its first appearance in these games. The entrance is located in the Celadon Game Corner. However, the entrance to the Hideout is hidden. The player can find the entrance by talking to a Rocket Grunt who is guarding a poster. After the player defeats the grunt, the grunt retreats and disappears. The player can activate a secret switch, which was behind the poster that the Rocket grunt was guarding and the entrance to the Team Rocket Hideout is revealed.
In Generation II, The Team Rocket Hideout's is referred to when the player walks to the same poster as seen in Generation 1. However, the poster reveals to have nothing behind it, leaving it assumed that the Team Rocket Hideout was abandoned and the entrance to it lost.
