He challenges Monta with a Buffalon and a Kokoromori. Monta challenges him with his Gantoru and his Tsutarja. Monta starts by telling Tsutarja to use Grass Mixer on Buffalon but it had no effect due to the Herbivore ability of Buffalon. Buffalon attacks Tsutarja with Horn Thrust and it instantly defeats Tsutarja. Monta orders Gantoru to use a rock-type move but Kokoromori uses Fly before it even hit. Buffalon then defeats Gantoru in one hit. Later in a forest, Monta challenges Dol again. First, Kokoromori uses Fly and Buffalon uses Afro Break on Tsutarja but it had no effect due to Protect. Gantoru uses Shoot Down to knock down Kokoromori to the ground and Kokoromori uses Heart Stamp on Gantoru but it survived due to an effect of an item. Gantoru then uses Level the Ground, which hitted all of the Pokémon. Dol then tells Monta that the attack also hitted Tsutarja but Monta surprises Dol by showing Tsutarja was holding a Balloon, which it helped Tsutarja. Kokoromori and Buffalon are slowed down due to the result of Level the Ground so Tsutarja uses Slam on Kokoromori and it faints. Gantoru then finishes it off by using Stone Edge on Buffalon with one hit, ending the battle. Dol is impressed that Monta had improved a lot since their battle in the Battle Subway and asks Monta that he will accept his battle invitation anytime and Monta agrees to the rematch invitation.
