Resistance is when an Attack Type of an attacking Pokemon's battle points has weakened due to the different type of the opposing Pokemon when not affected. For example, a Charmander has used Ember on a Squirtle. The attack type of Ember was Fire, and Squirtle's Type was Water. Water Types are not affected by Fire type attacks, therefore the attack points of Ember has weakened. When a monster is attacked by an attack that was Super Effective for that opposing Pokemon, in this case, there is no resistance.
