Reggie (Japanese: レイジ Reiji) is a Pokémon Breeder and Paul's older brother in the Pokémon anime franchise.

Appearance and Personality

Reggie is based loosely off his brother, but has a completely different personality. He cares about his Pokémon, congratulating them even if they lost a battle.

Anime Appearances

Reggie's debut was in Lost Leader Strategy! where it was revealed that he was a Pokémon Breeder. Not only that, but it was also revealed that he was Paul's older brother and that Paul kept some of his Pokémon with him. However, it wasn't revealed which Pokémon were Paul's.

Reggie also appeared in Crossing the Battle Line! where Reggie's Staraptor taught Ash's Staravia Brave Bird.

Reggie didn't appear again until Enter Galactic! where he fought along side Ash's Pikachu with Paul's Electabuzz to stop Team Galactic from stealing Veilstone City's meteorites.

Reggie also watched Paul's battle with Brandon in the Battle Pyramid and his battle with Ash on the shore of Lake Acuity.

File:Reggie's Bibarel.jpg		Bibarel was used to battle Ash's Turtwig. It put up a good fight but was defeated by Turtwig's Energy Ball. Bibarel's known moves are Ice Beam, Super Fang, Take Down and Secret Power.

File:Reggie's Swalot.jpg		Swalot battled against Ash's Staravia. It's squishy and flexible body meant that it took very little damage from Staravia's attacks and it defeated the Flying type. Swalot's known moves are Stockpile, Spit Up and Sludge Bomb.

File:Reggie's Staraptor.jpg		Staraptor was used to battle Ash's Pikachu and despite type disadvantage it put up a good fight but was eventually defeated by Pikachu's Volt Tackle. It also helped Ash's Staravia learn Brave Bird. Staraptor's known moves are Brave Bird, Steel Wing and Wing Attack.

It is, as of yet, unknown whether or not any of the previous Pokémon belong to Reggie.

It appears In Lost Leader Strategy! that Reggie is a very good trainer as he owns every badge from every known region before Generation V's introduction.
Reggie lost to Brandon while battling Regice, Regirock and Registeel.
