A Quick Ball is a Poké Ball variant that first appeared in the Generation IV games. While they're somewhat similar to Fast Balls name-wise, they aren't the same.

Appearance

Appearance wise, Quick Balls are blue with wild yellow stripes and a misshapen triangle formation in the middle. Like every Ball that the player can acquire, Quick Balls appear to be ordinary Poké Balls shape wise, with differentiating decals and unique colors molded on.

Generation IV

In the Sinnoh region, Quick Balls appear in the Poké Marts of these cities:

• Canalave City
• Snowpoint City
• Pastoria City

In the Kanto region, Quick Balls appear in the Poké Marts of these cities:

• Fuchsia City
• Vermilion City
• Pewter City
• Cerulean City
• Saffron City

Generation V

In both Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version and Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2, Quick Balls can be found in Opelucid City's Poké Mart and Shopping Mall Nine.

Generation VI

In the Kalos region, Quick Balls can be found in Snowbelle City's Poké Mart, Coumarine City's Poké Mart, and the Poké Ball Boutique in Lumiose City's Autumnal Avenue. In the Hoenn region, they can be found in Fallarbor Town's Poké Mart.

Generation VII

In the Alola region, Quick Balls can be found in Route 8's Poké Mart and the Ball Shop in Festival Plaza.

Generation VIII

In the Galar region, Quick Balls can be found in Wyndon's Poké Mart.

Usage

Quick Balls have a higher chance of capturing a Wild Pokémon when used at the start of a battle. At the beginning of the battle, a Quick Ball's catch rate is x5 (x4 in Generation IV). If used on any turn after the first, its catch rate drops to x1, the same as a normal Poké Ball.

Same as most other Poké Balls, the Quick Ball always has a 0.1x catch rate on catching Ultra Beasts.
