Origins
Psyduck's name is a combination of the words psychic and duck. Its Japanese name can be taken to mean small duck. Psyduck's design is possibly based along the lines of a duck or a platypus.
Trivia
- Despite having psychic powers, and its name having psychic a part of it, Psyduck isn't partially Psychic-type.
- If Psyduck's headache becomes servere, it's supposedly can use attacks that are stronger than usual. As seen in Episode-32 The ninja-poké showdown.
