Trivia

  • This is the first Pokémon game to be released worldwide at the same time.
  • It is possible that the region it is in is based off in France how Pikachu in the beginning of the trailer was on the Eiffel Tower and there was a structure in the trailer looking similar to the Eiffel Tower.
  • It is also possible that the two new Legendary Pokémon that were introduced may actually end up in a trio, with each representing the X, Y and Z axes of the 3rd dimension.
  • It is also possible X and Y repersent the femlae and male cromeazone. as Xerneas seems femine, while Yveltal seems more mucialine
  • This is the first main Pokémon title that uses Single Letters instead using Color or Material Items for the subtitle.
  • This is the first Pokémon game to be made entirely in 3D that isn't a spin-off.
  • This is the first Pokémon game to have a Fire-type starter that isn't a member of the Chinese Zodiac.
  • This is the first Pokémon game to include Rollerblades as a running mechanic, although it is unknown if it is replacing the bike or running shoes.
