Pokemon Tower

In the first Generation and second Generation games the Pokemon Tower is seen. The Pokemon Tower is like a burial place for dead Pokemon.

Role in Generation I

The first time player would usually go into the Pokemon Tower unprepared without the Silph Scope. While in the Pokemon Tower without the Silph Scope you encounter ghosts, not Gastly nor it's evolved forms.

MissingNo

This is the ghost encountered without a Silph Scope

When the player has received the Silph Scope, the ghost is revealed to be a Gastly in every encounter(Not including the Marowak at the end of the tower). At the end of the tower, there's a staircase leading where Mr. Fuji is held captive, however, a restless ghost of a dead Marowak attacks you, but it first appears as a ghost then it's uncovered using the Silph Scope.[Generation II ghost pic coming soon. I can't seem to find it, if anyone would please upload one, it would be greatly appreciated.]

Role in Generation II

It's just a resting place for departed Pokemon.[Well, I didn't play the Kanto region much in Pokemon Crystal....so if anyone knows any other use for it, please edit this.]

Trivia

  • The ghost in the Pokemon Tower is a sprite sometimes used during the appearance of the glitch Pokemon MissingNo.
