The first time player would usually go into the Pokemon Tower unprepared without the Silph Scope. While in the Pokemon Tower without the Silph Scope you encounter ghosts, not Gastly nor it's evolved forms.[[File:MissingNo.GhostSprite.png|thumb|This is the ghost encountered without a Silph Scope]]When the player has received the Silph Scope, the ghost is revealed to be a Gastly in every encounter (Not including the Marowak at the end of the tower). At the end of the tower, there's a staircase leading where Mr. Fuji is held captive, however, a restless ghost of a dead Marowak attacks you, but it first appears as a ghost then it's uncovered using the Silph Scope. Lavendertower

The Pokémon Tower is a tower located in Lavender Town in the Kanto region. The Pokémon Tower first appeared Pokémon Red and Blue. The Pokémon Tower is a burial site for Pokémon that have died, and serves as a memorial for Pokémon. In Generation 2 and 4, the tower was changed into a Radio Tower.
